The View sits right on Thurso beach, one of Scotland’s most dramatic coastlines, on the NC500, with the Pentland Firth stretching out to Orkney on a clear day. It’s the kind of location that doesn’t need much selling. We just needed to do it justice.
Most people in Thurso know this building as The Marine Inn. It’s been part of the town’s fabric for years, a heritage property right on the beach with the kind of bones you can’t manufacture.
We took that history and rebuilt everything around it. Modern interiors, smart technology, proper kitchenettes, sea-facing rooms, and a penthouse with a private balcony that looks out across the Pentland Firth. The building earned its character over decades. We just gave it a reason to last another few.
